Army cycling expedition to ‘Adi Kailash’ flagged off

Pithoragarh, May 26

A 10 day long cycle expedition to ‘Adi Kailash’, by Kumaon batallion of Panchshul brigade of the Indian Army was flagged off by Brigadier SPS Chouhan, here today.

“The cycle expedition is being flagged off to promote the concept of vibrant village concept on the border, besides, to promote the historical,and religious tourists spots on way to ‘Adi Kailash’ mountains,” said Brigadier Commandar of Panchshul brigade, Brig. SPS Chouhan, on the occasion.

According to information given by army, 17 army personnel including one officer, one JCO, and 15 other ranks have been included in the expedition. The expedition will also celebrate World Cycle Day on June 3, and World Environment Day on June 5 during the expedition.” The expedition will visit significant religious tourism spots like Om Parvat, Kailash Mansarowar yatra route inside Indian territory besides the vibrant village of Gunji,” said the press release of the army.
