Cong leaders asked to submit security bonds prior to PM visit

Pithoragarh, Oct 8                                       Prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s proposed visit to Pithoragarh town, on October 12, district administration has given notices to seven Congress party leaders of the district under section 107/116 of IPC and has asked them to furnish  security bonds each of Rs 50000 before the magistrate.

“Keeping in mind, these leader’ s vocal stand on demanding Air services from Naini saini air strip of Pithoragarh and start of base hospital in Pithoragarh, we suspect these Congress leaders might disrupt the peace during Prime Minister’s visit,”said AK Shukla, SDM, Pithoragarh.     These leaders will have to deposit a security of Rs 50000 in his court, giving guarantee of not getting involved in any act of violation of peace during the time of VVIP visit to the district.

The Congress leaders, against whom action has been taken, included, senior leaders, Mahendra Singh Lunthi,Mukesh pant,Bhuwan Pandey and youth Congress leaders,Chanchal Singh Bisht, Karan Singh, Abhishek Bora, and Rishav Kalpasi.

Mahendra Lunthi, former district Congress president, has condemned the act of administration in a video message he said that it shows the harrasment and increasing insecurity in ruling BJP dispensation.”we will continue to raise the just voice of suffering people of the district, ” said Lunthi.
