Dehradun, April 14

On the occasion of 133rd birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, tributes to Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar by various dignitaries at a function held at Bhimrao Ambedkar Library, Dashmesh Vihar, Aamwala Tarla, Dehradun. The program was inaugurated by lightening the lamp and floral tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar by the Chief guest Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’,  MLA and guest of honour Padma Shri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay along with other special guests Dr. Baijnath of ONGC,  K. R. Bharti of BSNL,  Pradeep Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Excise Department,  Ratan Lal, Assistant Director, Ministry of Defence,  RB Singh of Deal, DRDO, Rajendra Kumar Gautam, Secretary, Bhupal Singh, Treasurer and  Sanjay Kumar Gautam.

Guest of honour Padmashri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay said that there is no other example like Dr. Ambedkar who earned that much respect through his duties and intelligence and the amount of work he did for humanity across the world. “Today, not only in our country but all over the world, various government and non-government social and other organizations are in race to install statues of Ambedkar, to establish educational institutions, parks, cities, districts and other institutions in his name. All that prove that Dr. Ambedkar was not only a politician of one country and one class but he was a multi-faceted great reformer of the entire world,” he added.

Padma Shri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay appealed to the audience that we should not only pay obeisance to Baba Saheb and take his blessings but also  follow the path and principles as shown by him and if we cannot follow many of his principles then at least we should get educated ourselves and if not, then at least we should educate our children. Guinness Book Record Holder Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay said that it is not poverty but illiteracy that is the root cause of all problems. “We all are witness to this fact.  If we look at our past, don’t you feel today that whatever transformation happened in all of us, be it political, social, economic, mental or intellectual, the credit goes to the education,” he asked .

Padma Shri recipient Dr. Sanjay said that change is a universal law. There is a saying in English ‘Nothing changes, if nothing changes’. This is the principle of science also. Change is inevitable and it is visible all around in our country.
