Graphic Era Hospital doctors treated facial paralysis with decompression surgery

The doctors of Graphic Era Hospital have treated a patient suffering from facial paralysis with decompression surgery successfully. Graphic Era Hospital witnessed four different cases where patients were suffering from facial nerve palsy and suffered facial paralysis.

Graphic Era Hospital’s team of ENT specialists treated these patients with the help of facial nerve decompression surgery. One of the patients has also undergone nerve transplantation successfully. Specialists said that these patients were suffering from a condition, in which the nerves and muscles of face malfunction. This results in paralysis of the affected area. This condition happens because of infection, trauma due to head injury or surgical site trauma.

They said that there is huge psychological and social impact on the patients suffering from this condition. Graphic Era Hospital also provides psychotherapy and physiotherapy to these patients.
