International Conference on Device Intelligence start at Graphic Era University

Dehradun, March 15

International experts shared their views on newer technologies in communication, semi conductors and applications of device intelligence at a two day international conference on “Device Intelligence Computing and Communication Technology’, held at Graphic Era Deemed University, here today.

On the first day of conference today, Director of Defense Electronics Applications Laboratory, L. C. Mangal said that device intelligence is used today in every sector like banks, railways, defense, security and police establishments. By using it, we can avoid fraud by increasing our personal and social security, he said.

IIT Roorkee Prof. Sudipdas Gupta gave detailed information to the students on the country’s semiconductor mission. He told that in today’s technological world when almost everything revolves around electronic gadgets, electronic machines will have no existence without semi conductor chips. Semi conductor industry will bring a revolution of new opportunities for the youth in the coming times.

Dr. Nicola Marchetti from Trinity College Dublin gave information to the students on communication system and its technologies. Former Director of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Prof. Rajeev Tripathi also delivered a lecture on Machine Intelligence.

The conference was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of the university in collaboration with Defense Research and Development Organisation(DRDO). Pro Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Narpinder Singh, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr. Sanjay Jasola, HOD Dr. Irfanul Hasan, Director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell Dr. Santosh Saraf, other officials, teachers and students were present.
